When developing our Series of One Acts our desire was to present an opportunity for young directors and new to us directors an opportunity to explore the type of theatre they wanted to present. To explore stories both old and new in a relatively risk free environment. With a few minor changes we are excited to open our submission process for our 3rd annual Series of One Acts. We can't wait to see what's brought to the table, or stage, that is. - MRT Board

Series of One Acts Guidelines:

• One Act Plays need to be between 30 and 45 minutes.

• One Act Plays will be preformed in a Black Box setting.

• Both published and new plays will be considered.

• One Acts will be matched and preformed during weekend performances

• NEW OPPORTUNITY - THE BOARD WILL CONSIDER ONE ACT MUSICALS FOR THE 2024 SERIES.

General Information:

• All Submissions are due by April 1st. Only shows where the entire script has been provided will be considered.

• Auditions will be held in July, 2024 and are open to the public.

• Performance Dates: August 9,10,11 and August 23,24,25

• Royalties above $250 will be the responsibility of the director.

• Directors will receive a $250 stipend.

• Directors will receive up to $250 for costumes/props.

Any production needs/wants not outlined above will need to be part of the potential director's submission in an effort to assist the board in making a fully informed decision during the selection process.
